v360energy launch new VR Lifeboat Crew Induction Programme with Safer Training

Leading virtual reality solutions provider, v360energy has teamed up with specialist services provider SAFER TRAINING to bring virtual reality training to subsea contractors and oil & gas companies in 33 countries around the world.

Both companies strive to bring the cost of effective training delivery down by creating blended learning programmes that are designed to improve health and safety in our key target industries.

Over recent months, v360energy and SAFER TRAINING have co-developed a market-leading virtual reality Lifeboat Crew Passenger Induction module that can be adapted to specific vessels and corporate training.

This fully immersive programme provides the ultimate alternative solution to an industry-wide problem, allowing crew members and passengers to:

  • explore interior of lifeboat from various positions and familiarise themselves with Key Systems Orientation
  • identify seating locations, familiarise themselves with the correct use of seatbelts
  • locate and correctly identify critical subsystems in the boats carried onboard their installation (e.g., bilge pumps / air valves / EPIRBs, etc.).
  • learn commands used by lifeboat coxswain to provide taskings to crew members
  • locate and correctly operate critical subsystems to support a successful evacuation from an installation or vessel on the instruction of a lifeboat coxswain
  • undertake an assessment at the end of the familiarisation

We are extremely excited to give existing and new clients the opportunity to transform the way they train, reduce costs and save lives.
